Please complete the following information to apply for a Certificate of Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Alarm. You will be required to pay, via e-check or credit card, before you can submit this application.
This application requires a valid email address. The Certificate will be sent automatically to the email address provided once the application has been submitted and if the application has not been randomly selected for inspection. Please be advised that the email address sender of the Certificate will be BFCE_CSDCMAC@dca.state.nj.us. You should add this email address to your contacts to ensure it is not sent to your junk or spam email folders.
If you do not receive an email from the above address with either the Certificate attached or notification of selection for inspection please contact the Division of Fire Safety's CSDCMAC unit at the above address to request the status of this Certificate.
If you are applying for certificate more than ten business
days from the closing date the fee is $35 dollars, if applying between 4 to 10 business days from the closing date the fee is $70 and if the closing date is four business days or fewer the fee is $125.
